I’m sure by now you’ve seen your fair share of pumpkin spiced things, but I had to share this pumpkin spiced milk tea! I’ve been making it for a week straight now, and it’s brought so much coziness to my morning routine.
Pumpkin Spiced Milk Tea
For one serving
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1 black tea bag
- 1/3 cup choice of milk
- 1.5 tbsp light brown sugar (add more to taste if desired)
- 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground ginger
- Pinch ground cloves
- Pinch ground nutmeg
- Optional toppings like boba pearls and whipped cream
Steep the black tea bag in the boiling water for 5 minutes or according to your tea manufacturer’s instructions. In a small saucepan, combine the milk with the brown sugar, pumpkin puree, and the spices. Heat until just simmering and the sugar has dissolved.
In a mug, pour in the black tea followed by boba pearls if using. Add the pumpkin milk mixture. Top with whipped cream if desired. Serve immediately!
Feel free to swap the spices for 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice or experiment the ratio of spices to your liking! 🙂
